Super Sets

Super Sets are a great way to get more out of your weights workout at the gym.

Have a look around the gym; most of our time is spent resting between sets talking with your training partner. Yet we all have similar goals; Guys want to look muscular and ripped, girls want to be small and toned. Both these goals require two things, less body fat (so more calories burned) and muscle (so there is some shape once the fat is gone). So, if you want to really turn up the heat, and move toward your goals, try super sets out:

A super set is when you do two or more exercises in a row without a break. This can be done using the same muscle (Squats then lunges or Lat Pull down then Seated Rows), opposing muscles (bicep curls then triceps extensions), or pre exhaust (triceps extensions then Push ups).
They all work on the same principles.

1) Since you are constantly working without a break, your HR increases, so you get a cardio element to your workout burning more calories to get you tone.

2) As you push harder to feel the burn (lactic acid), you body produces GH (growth hormone) to balance things out and your muscles start to grow and give you shape.

You may feel winded at first, but as your cardio picks up you will really start to SEE the benefits in the mirror.

Try this type of workout out and let me know how it went!?
