Getting to know Jay
Coming from New Aiyansh, a Nisga’a First Nation community near Terrace, Jay grew up being outdoors and with close family ties, spending his spare time canoeing and performing traditional dance. His passion for the outdoors has taken him on canoe trips as long as 10 days and he enjoys teaching and coaching canoeing to youth in his community. Long term, Jay can see himself continuing to work with underprivileged or at-risk youth, helping them find and live a healthy lifestyle through fitness, something you can already find him doing when he’s not at the gym.
With an emphasis on conditioning, kettlebell and barbell training, he can help you take your fitness to the next level, all while having fun. Any of his REVAMPED classes are dynamic, full body workouts that you’ll find yourself craving more of. The REVAMPED program is new to our small group training schedule, thanks to Jay’s experience training and working in MMA Strength & Conditioning as well as AIM (Aesthetics in Motion) programs, and Kettlebell certification. You can experience his energy and passion for fitness first hand in his classes (6am, 7am, 12pm, & 7:30pm Monday-Friday) or in personal training sessions. When he’s not pumping you up for your work out, finding the best new workout playlist or correcting your Jerk Press, you might find him pushing himself through a HIIT workout or working on his kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu technique.
