Coming from a background of extreme sports, including skateboarding, BMX riding, mountain biking, and snowboarding, Kyle has had his fair share of wipe outs; sometimes costing him more than a scrape or bruise. Having to come back from the many injuries he has succumbed, he has learned to take knowledge acquired through his schooling as well as the physical therapy sessions, and apply the information through active rehab. He understands what it is like to overcome an injury, and the time and patience that goes into it as well.
Kyle recently finished his 3rd year at UBC in the Kinesiology program. His studies have consisted of a wide range of courses related to the body, including anatomy, exercise physiology, sports psychology, biomechanics, and motor control. Certified as a personal trainer by the HFFC (Health and Fitness Federation of Canada), he continues to obtain new information for others as well as himself, to make improvements both in and out of the gym in living out a healthy lifestyle.
Kyle’s goal in personal training is toaid clients to find success, whether in the gym or out, physically or mentally, based on their own goals. He realizes that not everyone has the same goals, or respond the same to certain workout methods, and therefore understands to plan the workouts based not only his client’s goals, but also what they enjoy doing as well.
You will want to train with Kyle if you want a solid and optimal workout, with motivation and form check all the way through.
