Family Fitness introduces your kids to the world of fitness and builds a healthy and active lifestyle for your family. Our Family Fitness program allows parents to attend boot camps while their kids attend fitness or other kids’ gymnastics classes.

We coach your child while you work out!

We offer a variety of age ranges and different training styles in each class:

Program Information:

Family Fitness at Kalev Fitness has 5 categories:

KidFit1

Kids Gymnastics (K-Gym) are recreational, non-competitive classes that develop skills through the use of; warm-up exercises, floor skills, beams, bars, ropes, clubs, and hoops. Gymnastics is a sport which involves targeting exercises and acrobatics that increase strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and body control. This may include running, jumping, tumbling, somersaulting, flipping, backflips, handstands, cartwheels, body control, and balance activities. K-Gym allows children to cultivate self-confidence through creativity and performance and helps lay a strong foundation for many other sports. Toddler gymnastics gets a jump-start on these attributes early in childhood and puts the emphasis on “fit is fun!”

Kids Fitness (K-Fit) introduces students to gym exercises and strength training in a fun environment. Students learn to handle gym equipment with care and safety. The focus is on perfecting technique while building core stability, strength, and flexibility. Students are guided step-by-step on how to achieve the skills and gain the strength to do age-appropriate exercises. An introduction to in Gym Fitness is great for kids who simply want to look and feel better.

Kid Sports Training

Kids / Teen Speed and Agility (K-Sport) The class focuses on developing a strong foundation through fun fitness activities, proper movement, and technique, to prepare your kids/teens in their development in whatever sport or recreational activity they desire.
Fun obstacle courses help kids/teens improve their reading-readiness skills by working on patterns and sequences. The class includes agility and gymnastic skills like tumbling, balancing on the beam, working on the bars and rings, hopping, hurdle and box jumping, and agility ladder drills.

Kid Strength and Weights

Teen Strength Training / Intro to Weight Training (K-Strength) introduces students to Strength and Weight Training in a fun environment. Students learn to handle dumbbells and barbells with care and safety. The focus is on perfecting technique while building core stability, strength, and flexibility. Students are guided step-by-step on how to achieve the skills and gain the strength to do age-appropriate exercises. An introduction to Strength Training is great for kids who simply want to look and feel better.

Kids / Teens - Boxing / MMA (K-Box): Kids/Teens Boxing / Martial Arts (K-Box) class is a dynamic and exhilarating experience designed to instill a love for fitness and self-defense in young minds. Focusing on fostering a foundation of fun, our energetic sessions keep children engaged and excited to learn. Through a carefully crafted curriculum, we emphasize active participation, honing their coordination, agility, and strength while teaching essential techniques. Moreover, our skilled instructors create a supportive environment that encourages each child to build confidence in their abilities, both inside and outside the facility. This class not only equips them with valuable martial arts skills but also empowers them with a sense of self-assuredness that will last a lifetime.

KFS Family / Kids / Teens Fitness Class Levels

General Level Description:

Beginner: We believe in building a strong foundation of skills that will last a lifetime. We focus on developing motor skills, balance, and coordination to help children excel in physical activity and sports. As they learn and master new skills, they gain confidence and a sense of achievement. Our instructors are trained to celebrate every milestone, no matter how big or small.

In addition to physical development, children in our classes also learn how to interact with others. They learn important social skills like taking turns, sharing, and communicating with their peers. Most importantly, our classes are all about having fun! While we work on skill development, we always make sure to incorporate play, laughter, and joy into every session. Movement should be enjoyable, and we make sure to keep things light-hearted and engaging for all our students.

 

Intermediate: Skill progression: we gradually introduce more advanced techniques, improving the basics learnt previously and teaching more advanced movements and skills. Our program teaches discipline, perseverance, and the joy of reaching your goals, helping the kids/teens not only in the gym but in all areas of life.
Our classes focus on teamwork, teaching how to support and cheer on fellow classmates, and forming friendships that will last a lifetime.
We believe in keeping things fun and exciting for our students. Our classes are full of engaging routines, games, and activities that will have you looking forward to coming back week after week.

 

Advanced: Small group classes under the supervision of a qualified and experienced personal trainer. Our program will teach them how to use free weights, cardio and strength equipment properly, as well as safety tips to make sure everyone has a great workout experience. They will build muscle mass, decrease body fat and increase their confidence in a trainer-supervised setting.

Gymnastics Class Description:

K-Gym Beginner:  This class is for beginner students who are ready to follow a coach’s instruction with optional parent supervision. This class begins to educate students on gymnastics and the function and safe use of beginner equipment. Students begin to learn what muscles they are developing with each exercise and how to properly execute skills that will prepare them for advanced gymnastics.

K-Gym Intermediate: This class is for students to continue to learn the names and functions of basic gym equipment and gym safety rules. (New students are also welcome.) As with all learning, repetition is essential to mastery. With this in mind, students perform each individual exercise in different rotations to keep things interesting. Safety rules and gymnastics terminology are continually reinforced for maximum student retention.

K-Gym Advanced: This class is for students to incorporate better form and consistency. The gymnastic skills learned at lower levels are the building blocks. (New students will be given modified instruction at their level.) Students learn what muscles they are developing with each exercise and how to properly execute skills that will prepare them for advanced gymnastics. Encouragement and repetition are the keynotes to achieving a comfort level with individual skills.

Fitness Class Description:

K-Fit Beginner: Students learn warm-up games which introduce skills such as: isometric movements, core stability drills, and the proper use of light barbells. Light barbells rely on a high repetition count instead of heavy weights. Our coaches focus on technique, stretching, mobility, and flexibility. Safety rules and exercise terminology are continually reinforced for maximum student retention.

K-Fit Intermediate: Students learn strength and resistance training to build muscles and strength using free weights, kettlebells, weight machines, resistance bands, or body weight. Students will improve their confidence while also sharpening their sports performance and averting avoidable injuries. They will achieve a comfort level with individual skills through repetition and encouragement. Students learn what muscles they are developing with each exercise and how to properly execute skills that will prepare them for advanced fitness classes.

K-TBS Advanced: Students at this level are all about seeing improvements and achieving tougher goals, heavier weights, and complex exercise routines! Coaches will, of course, be paying special attention to safety and appropriate limitations! Instruction will be similar to standard TBS adult classes. Encouragement and repetition will be the keynotes to achieving a comfort level with individual skills.

TBS Classes (Advanced Ages 16+): Our regular TBS Classes (with K-Fit instructors) are offered to these experienced Teens.

Boxing Class Description:
